Dr. Jason Oliver - Principal

Dr. Oliver completed his Bachelor's of Science at Texas Christian University, Master's in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies at the University of Texas at Arlington, and Doctorate of Education at the University of Texas at Austin. He previously served as the principal of Kirkpatrick Middle School, Monnig Middle School, and Arlington Heights High School.
Outside of school, Dr. Oliver spends time with his wife and two children. He is a former parent in the Benbrook school community and is so excited to be back in the Benbrook family!

Middle School Assistant Principals

Dexter Dotson - Assistant Principal 7th & 8th Grade
Mr. Dotson is entering his 12th year in education. He graduated from Lamar University with a Bachelor of Applied Arts & Science and soon began his educational journey as a paraprofessional in special education. He served in that role for four years, working towards his teacher certification. In 2020, he earned his Master of Education from Walden University. He earned his principal certification from Lamar University in 2021, and began at BMHS in 2022. He is currently pursing his doctorate degree from Lamar University.
Mr. Dotson has served in many leadership roles while teaching, such as Science Department Chair/Lead and Grade Level Lead for five years, as well as serving on the Superintendent's Teacher Advisory Board and Curriculum team, as the science facilitator for the school district for secondary schools, as well as an advisor for a nationally recognized student council organization.
In 2020, Mr. Dotson was recognized as campus teacher of the year, district Secondary teacher of the year, and candidate for Region 10 Secondary Teacher of the Year. From 2020 – 2022, he served as a Principal Intern, learning, growing, and developing effective practices that are aligned with present-day education.

Michelle Grubbs - Assistant Principal 6th & 7th Grade
Mrs. Grubbs holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and a Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction. She started her teaching career in Weatherford ISD at Tison Middle School, teaching 8th grade Science. After graduating with her Master's in Curriculum and Instruction in 2015, she began working for Fort Worth ISD as a Data Analyst here at BMHS. In 2019, she was the Grant Coordinator at Dunbar High School. She is a proud mom of adult twins, as her son graduated with a degree in Aviation and played tennis at Letourneau University in Longview, TX, while her daughter is finishing up her degree in Hospitality Management at the University of Kentucky, while being a member of the Wildcats Cheer Squad. Mrs. Grubbs aims to bring an open mind, a positive attitude, and high expectations to BMHS each day!

High School Assistant Principals

Phillip Adams - Assistant Principal 9th-12th Grade
Mr. Adams is a 20-year veteran in education. He spent 6 years teaching Mathematics, 1 year as an instructional coach, and is now in his 13th year as an Assistant Principal, ten of which have been as a proud Benbrook Bobcat. Mr. Adams attended Texas A&M University where he received a Bachelors of Arts in Mathematics, and a Minor in Education. He then went on to receive a Masters degree in Education Administration from University of Texas at Arlington. When Mr. Adams isn't at school, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two kids, playing basketball with friends, and going to Texas A&M football games.

Robby Ball - Assistant Principal 9th-12th Grade
Mr. Ball is entering his 20th year in education, and his second year as an AP at BMHS. Previously, Mr. Ball served as a Basketball Coach and Business Teacher right here at BMHS! Additionaly, he has held positions such as Director of Safety, Security, and Threat Management in Mansfield ISD, the Coordinator of Safety and Emergency Response in H-E-B ISD, and an Assistant Principal in Crowley ISD. He holds a Bachelor's degree in education from the University of Oklahoma and a Master of Education from Lamar University.
Mr. Ball has three children, all of them proud Benbrook Bobcats!
