Academic UIL

UIL Academics is a series of academic competitions in Texas designed to promote higher-order thinking, skill refinement, and college and career readiness.  

These activities, which exist to complement the academic curriculum, are designed to motivate students as they acquire higher levels of knowledge, to challenge students to confront issues of importance, and to provide students with the opportunity to demonstrate mastery of specific skills.

Students practice frequently to prepare for the District, Regional and State competitions.  Success in UIL competitions can lead to opportunities for college scholarships and for career internships.
